A prominent Bahrain based business tycoon will be honoured with the prestigious P.V.Sami Memorial Industrial and Socio-Cultural award on September 1, 2013, at the Tagore Centenary Hall in Calicut, Kerala, India. Dr. Varghese Kurian, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Namal and VKL Group, will be bestowed with the honour for his successful leadership skills in various sectors like construction, real estate, infrastructure, development health, Hospitality and Education. Dr. Varghese Kurian is also noted for his endless contributions in social welfare and charity causes, both in Bahrain and India.
A Momento will be presented to Dr. Varghese Kurian by Calicut Mayor Prof.A.K.Premajam, Indian Union Minister for overseas Affairs Vayalar Ravi will inaugurate the function and the award will be presented by Kerala Finance Minister K.M. Mani. The award has been constituted in memory of late businessman, industrialist and Indian freedom fighter P.V.Sami.
