Bahrain-based businessman Varghese Kurian will donate BD417380 through Al Namal and VKL Groups to flood-hit Kerala.
This comes in addition to the BD103,961 earlier donated to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF), which will be used for relief efforts spearheaded by the company to rebuild houses in the village of Chittar in Pathanamthitta district. It will also provide home appliances to 6,000 flood-hit families in the Ranni area.
